Geography: Designing Aseismic buildings

This is an optional task. It involves researching how engineers design buildings to be “earthquake proof”.
This activity will give you an insight into what we look at when studying tectonics in AS geography.
You could just research how buildings are built or you could do the task that involves you designing an earthquake proof building using all the techniques that you research.

The resources below are here to help you with this session. The documents can be downloaded to your device and web links can be viewed online.

What to do when you're finished ?

Keep a copy of your work safe until your first days at college. Bring it with you for your first lesson in this subject.
