WELCOME DAY 2022
Our Principal James Gresty wanted to share a message ahead of Welcome Day so please watch his video message.
During your Welcome Day you will attend five different sessions including lessons and one about the Pastoral Support that is available at Priestley to ensure your wellbeing is looked after at college.
At lunch there will be live music and other outside entertainment.
You will also be able to gather information about other areas of college life including enrichment, transport, our Excel programme, trips/visits, DofE, Sports Academies etc.
This can all be found in the Sports Hall.
Travelling to Priestley
We will be running a number of bus services to college for Welcome Day. You can find everything you need to know in the bus leaflet. Just click the image for more details.
Our direct buses to college will be free on Welcome Day.

The Priestley campus
Priestley College is somewhere between a high school and university campus. You can get a sense of it from the video below but nothing can match actually spending a day here. That’s one of the reasons why we think Welcome Day is so important. You can find where we are via the map below – postcode WA4 6RD.
How the day will go
This is the plan for the day. We will make sure you have time to get from one session to the next and there will be plenty of friendly staff on hand to help guide you around the campus.
9am
We will meet you all in the Sports Hall where you will receive a welcome pack, and timetable for the day.
9.20am
Principal James Gresty will welcome you to Priestley as will our College Council.
9.45am
Time to enjoy lesson 1 of the day.
10.35am
Moving on to lesson 2.
11.25am
Take a break and make sure you are fully refreshed.
11.40am
We will squeeze in another lesson before lunch.
12.30pm
Lunch and you will have a designated cafe to collect your food. There will be live music in the grounds.
1.15pm
Back in the classroom for lesson 4.
2.05pm
One final lesson of the day before we all meet up again.
3pm
Together we will take a look back at your day and reflect on your future at Priestley.
3.30pm
That’s the end of our day – head for your pick-ups and the buses.
