Hi I’m Pam and I support Work Experience across the College. My role involves helping all students at Priestley to find and get the most out of work experience opportunities.  The support I offer includes:

• Sourcing placements for students whose courses have compulsory work experience including our five T-Level programmes.
• Supporting all Priestley students in sourcing relevant work experience via bookable appointment slots in the Careers Hub.
• Supporting students to complete and submit DBS forms where needed eg Healthcare
• Supporting pre-placement preparation, offering information and reassurance on what to expect from the workplace and what will be expected of you.
• Logging any work experience that you have found yourself to ensure your absence from college is authorised
• Liaising with a broad range of employers locally and nationally to ensure we connect you to their opportunities.
• Supporting your teachers to welcome employers and relevant organisations into classes to offer Careers related information, talks and workshops.
• Keeping your year group and careers noticeboard up to date with all the latest work experience opportunities
