Music: ‘Heart Out’ Bandlab Task

Thanks to everyone who has completed our “Getting to Know You” survey in week one and thanks to everyone who has been in touch.

Everyone seems to have enjoyed using Bandlab so far. Look back at the week one tasks or the intro videos in our Video Playlist (link provided) if you are unsure how to get started in Bandlab.

This week, we will be looking at a few more of the features in Bandlab to complete a remix of a song called “Heart Out” by Warrington Band Kula Bay. You can search for the original track on Spotify and Youtube.

Dave Hindle, the lead singer and guitarist from Kula Bay talks you through the task in a series of video demos on our Youtube Video Playlist. You can also find written instructions within the Bandlab assignment.

It would be great if you can submit your finished task so that we can hear your work and give you some feedback. Don’t worry if you don’t want to submit it though; it’s not compulsory. We just hope that you enjoy using Bandlab and that you experiment and maybe write some of tracks using your newly learnt techniques.

We’ll be in touch about auditions and interviews when everyone has had a chance to register and complete the survey from week one. If you haven’t already done so please complete the survey as the information you provide is very important to us.

Thanks for your time. Take care. We’re very excited about getting to know you in the future.
