Rugby Academy: Grip challenge

Grip of the ball is a key element of the game, it is used throughout, when carrying the ball, playing the ball, offloading and scoring tries. The link will take you to activity cards designed by the RFL with some super League examples of grip, while scoring, and offloading in a game.

These skills are well practised and Super League players will spend time practicing this on a regular basis… Here is Lee Mitchell with some examples of practices you can use, with some tips and advice on practicing the skill.

The resources below are here to help you with this session. The documents can be downloaded to your device and web links can be viewed online.
