These activities give you a taste of the things you will study on the Media Studies course. Have a go and see how you do. Don’t worry if you struggle or don’t finish all the tasks, they will just give you a taster of what to look forward to later this year.
1. Test your knowledge of media with our Kahoot quiz.
2. Look at the five television advertisements in the links, which were all created during the lockdown, and think about:
What image is created for the company/brand
How that image is created through camera work, editing, sound and mise-en-scene (content of shots used)
3. Creative task – have a look at the guidance and create your own short film.
4. Click on the YouTube link to see films which have already been completed.
