Write a letter to your new English teacher, which introduces yourself.
Include
Some background information about yourself e.g. what school you have
come from, where you live
What you have done in the summer
What courses you are going to be doing at Priestley and why have you
chosen them
Your past experiences of English in school e.g. the reasons why you
haven’t got a grade 4 already, what you are good at, what you don’t like
etc.
Your hopes for the future
Anything else which you would like to include
Please do not include anything that you would rather not share.
Write around 1-2 sides of A4 if you can. You can use a computer if you want
to. Please bring this to your first English lesson.
The letter will help us to understand what your written expression is like, and
what experiences you have had in the past so that we can build on these
throughout your English course at Priestley.
