Task for new students; the task should take approx. 45mins
Sketching Products/Rendering and Analysis
Select 5 everyday items, such as a hairdryer, kettle, mobile phone, remote control, wrist watch etc…
Use a different medium to draw at least 5 different views of each product (one product per one A3 page). So you should have 5 A3 pages with different views of each product.
Suggested medium to use: Biro, Fine liner pen (blue or black), pencil, pencil crayon, graphite, charcoal etc…
Then around the drawings on each sheet write key words that you think identify functions and features on the products. Then under each key word analyse the product relating to the key word.
